Linux and Mac

Use the Terminal:

ssh YOUR_USER_NAME%astro-gw@gw.cs.huji.ac.il

For example:

ssh yaronw%astro-gw@gw.cs.huji.ac.il

Windows

MobaXtrem

MobaXtrem is an enhanced terminal for Windows with built-in X11 server, tabbed SSH client, network tools and fun games!
Download: MobaXtrem
Run MobaXtrem and press "Session" button at the top left side of the screen.
Select "SSH" and enter remote host: gw.cs.huji.ac.il
Under "Advanced SSH settings" see that X11-Forwarding is selected. Press "OK".
When prompted "login as:" enter your user name: YOUR_USER_NAME%astro-gw

Putty

Download: Putty

In session category enter:

Host name: gw.cs.huji.ac.il
Port: 22
Connection type: ssh  

Then press "Open".
When prompted "login as:" enter your user name: YOUR_USER_NAME%astro-gw

To save the session: enter a name in "Saved Sessions" and press save.
Next time you run Putty double click on the saved session name (or select it and press "Load" and "Open").

X11-forwarding with Putty
To use X11-forwarding with Putty you have to install X server for windows.
Download: Xming X Server for Windows>נר< Install Xming with default options. You can edit the settings later by running XLaunch.
Run Xming (see that the program icon appears in the tray) and set Putty to use X11.
Under Connection press the plus near SSH, press X11 and select Enable X11 forwarding.
Now you can connect to the cluster.
