Write here the things that need to be done for next year system:
If you chose to take one of them upon yourself write your name (Ely) next to the item. Mark with (done) things which are done.

  • change the "strike" method of deleting things to something more notisable (I suggest add colors)
  • Check for missing programs
  • Compile kernel 2.6.18 + mosix (Ely)
  • Upgrade to xorg 7.1 (+nvidia)
  • Clean up /etc/alternatives
  • Eclipse
  • Install eclipse 3.2
  • Install plugins (callisto?)
  • Go over cron jobs and split local/server
  • Activate spell checker in gaim (Hebrew?)
  • Go over {clean,sync}-distribution scripts (Unchecked).

  • Get OpenGL man pages
  • X/Xnest
  • check vmware (+ install vmplayer) (David)(installed vmplayer - latest and configured winXP img)

[edit] Student Enviroment

  • update emacs configuration (Irush)
  • Check for missing plugins in mozilla
  • Choose between mplayer vlc or xine plugins
  • Install ltr plugin (and dictionary?) for thunderbird
  • check students defaults (i.e. network.protocol-handler.app.mailto)
  • After installing all plugins, make sure there is no "successfully installed" message on emtpy/newly configured thunderbird/firefox and check that new configuration (and reinstall) will use them (i.e. ltr buttons).

  • Check old xfce/kde configruation ( Fixed - David )
  • Add xfce xkb plugin
  • Make new xfce configuration
  • Xfce Reinstall script
  • Install spell checkers (aspel,myspell,hspell) in hebrew and english
  • ZSH
  • switch to zsh (canceled)
  • Create zsh configuration
  • Add to reinstall script
  • Make sure zsh configuration is copied to new accounts
  • Add profile.d file that checks if zsh exist and if so runs it
